In modern India, true Indians have to give evidences of innocent while the dishonest will be automatically cleaned by the BJP washing machine. Recently Nitish Kumar have created political history in the side shifting his alliance from one party to another. It is important to remember that in June of last year, Nitish Kumar convened the inaugural gathering of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) in Patna. He then traveled to different state capitals to facilitate communication among opposition leaders, but in the meantime, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Income Tax Department (IT), and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had been unleashed by the BJP to put pressure on him beginning in June 2023. Let’s explore how the BJP misuses these central agencies as a means of retaining power.
ED, CBI, IT summons and Operation Lotus:
In last Lok Sabha election, with only 31 to 37 percent of the public vote, the BJP’s political policies are disapproved of by 63 to 69 percent of voters. How did the party manage to hold onto power in spite of its low vote share? Every Indian is aware that opposition leaders are being threatened to quit their parties and coalitions by the ED, CBI, and IT. The CBI, ED, and other central agencies have become puppets of the Prime Minister Modi-led BJP administration; and they are only looking into cases that the government has shortlisted and tormenting political rivals whom the BJP and RSS do not like. Central agencies, including the ED, IT, and CBI, have been deployed on Nitish Kumar and his party since June 2023. Rahul Gandhi added that the BJP’s pressure strategies were the reason behind his decision to leave INDIA bloc. As Nitish Kumar has sided with the BJP, it looks like Amit Shah and Narendra Modi, who had until recently been publicly disparaging him and calling him obscene and vulgar, have swallowed their pride and allowed him to join the NDA.
What happened to cases of leaders who allied with BJP:
What about the summons that were sent to the then Maha Vikas Aghadi government member Eknath Shinde camp and Ajit Pawar camp in Maharashtra? Additionally, no action has been taken by the CBI or ED regarding the land & hydro projects scam by Ramesh Pokhriyal, the land mining scam by B S Yediyurappa, the money laundering & land scam by Narayan Rane, the vyapam scam by Shivraj Chouhan, and the water Supply & PPE kit scam by Himanta Biswa. Most of those who have joined the BJP are those whom the BJP had earlier accused of being corrupt. Have they been exonerated of all allegations because they joined forces with the BJP and several of them currently have cabinet positions? Since a large number of MLAs and MPs joined the BJP and turned themselves in or backed the party to evade their ED and CBI inquiries, it is the responsibility of the Indian Home Minister to explain what happened to those individuals’ inquiries after they joined the party.
Impact on INDIA bloc:
The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) is the coalition of political parties representing the true representatives of democratic India. There will be no effect on the polls from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s side switching to the BJP-led NDA. Even though Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) can now probably be counted out, the 27-party bloc of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance still includes the Congress, the All-Indian Trinamool Congress (TMC), the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and the CPI(ML)L. Therefore, one member leaving Mahagathbandhan won’t weaken the alliance. In reality, the situation has strengthened the INDIA bloc in the state, as there will now have more flexibility in adjusting seat-sharing and greater space for campaigning.
‘INDIA Bloc’: True representative of democratic India
The BJP has a track record of flouting the Constitution and democratic ideals. With Operation Lotus, the dreadful practice of employing federal agencies like the ED, CBI, ITD, and NIA to target, harass, and buy the leaders of state governments in power is causing havoc across the country and damaging India’s reputation for democratic governance. Since the INDIA bloc represents the 63 to 69 percent of Indian voters who disapprove of the BJP’s policies, it appears that the BJP is attempting to garner support in order to prevent losing its majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP administration, headed by Prime Minister Modi, tries to frighten the truth, but they have forgotten that the truth cannot be intimidated or defeated. Bihar’s people are not happy with Nitish Kumar’s side-switching, and they will never forgive him for his betrayal. During the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, every voter in Bihar should consider this betrayal. Join the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and become part of Congress’s vision for better India.
